Your Tasks
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory frameworks, including The German Water Resources Act, Asbestos regulations, and Hazardous material management.
  • Conduct HSE audits and inspections to assess compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments, including those for hazardous substances, water management, and asbestos-related activities.
  • Provide technical expertise in hazardous materials handling, emergency response planning, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain and update HAZMAT catalogs, Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), COSHH assessments, and operating instructions for hazardous substances.
  • Support waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor developments in German, EU, and international HSE regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
  • Deliver HSE training and workshops to improve awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to enhance safety performance.
Your Profile
  • A Degree in engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry, occupational health, or a related field.
  • You are a certified "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" (SiFa).
  • Familiarity with German and EU regulations, including TRGS, and REACH/COSHH standards.
  • Experience as an Asbestos Coordinator or equivalent asbestos management role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001, is advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in hazardous materials management and asbestos-related compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 30%).
